Arena Independência, officially known as Estádio Raimundo Sampaio, is one of Belo Horizonte's most historic football stadiums. Opened in 1950, it has hosted generations of Brazilian football and has served as the home ground for clubs such as América Mineiro, while also regularly hosting matches involving Atlético Mineiro and Cruzeiro.
